Read this before.

Shroud is experimental software and is not audited. An adversarial review on a mainnet fork found no flaw that lets a stranger take anyone's ETH or SHROUD; that is not an audit, and you can lose what you put in.

The liquidity is the owner's

The pool's only liquidity is the one position NFT the launch minted to the owner. The owner keeps that NFT, earns the pool's 1% LP fee with it, and can withdraw the whole band at any time. After a withdrawal, sells find no ETH. This is a choice the owner made openly; weigh it like any other risk.

Signed moves are standing offers

A signed move or sale can be submitted by anyone who sees it, until its deadline, at a moment they choose, and they take its tip. The signature fixes where everything goes and the least a sale accepts, so they cannot take more than the tip. This site defaults to 20 minutes. Cancelling early needs ETH at the stealth address.

Keys from a signature

Your spending key is made from a signature of a fixed message. Anyone who obtains that signature, by a site that asks you to sign the same text, can spend what is paid to your stealth addresses. Sign it only here. A smart-contract wallet cannot be used: its signatures differ each time, so its keys could not be made again.

What is public

The sender of every payment is public, and so are amounts and timing. Gathering stealth addresses into one wallet, funding them from your wallet, or submitting your own moves from it links them. See What it hides.

The pool and the routers

  • The Uniswap app cannot route this pool, because its hook returns deltas. Trade on this site, or through a router that builds v4 swaps itself.
  • A swap through any router that adds data to the hook call (hookData) is refused unless it is a stealth buy.
  • A swap that names its ETH must move all of it: if its price limit stops it short it reverts (PartialFill) and nothing is traded.
  • Prices move. The least you accept protects each trade, nothing protects its value afterwards.

Nobody can change the contracts

There is no admin, setter, pause, blacklist, tax switch or upgrade in the token or the hook. That also means nobody can fix a mistake in them.

Shroud is not a mixer and not affiliated with Uniswap, ScopeLift, Umbra, MetaMask or the Ethereum Foundation. Nothing on this site is advice.
